“Love is in the Air” is ready to fly home to you! This painting is a mishmash of throwbacks for me. In 2019, I searched my Tucson neighborhood for heart-shaped prickly pear cactus pads to paint for Valentine’s Day, creating a series of six “Valen-tines” as I called them. The following year, I painted lovebirds, inspired by the residents of the Phoenix neighborhood I called “home” at the time. When my friend Heather recently said she was making her own lovebirds, I recalled the fun I had with these and it got me percolating on some more lovely feathered friends from my new studio in Monterey.

This original painting was created with gouache paint on 300 lb. Arches cold pressed watercolor paper and measures 7×5". It comes in a double-thick 8-ply mat that brings the overall size of the piece to an easily framed 10×8”. It ships free.
