Relativity
It’s all relative, isn’t it? This fledgling mockingbird might not have liked its short stay in my grasp, but it was a heck of a lot better than serving as my dog Lola’s plaything. We’ve all heard that “a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush,” meaning that it's better to be content with what you have than to risk losing everything by seeking more. As someone who strives to live with less, this phrase is a great reminder that every “thing” we want costs our precious time, and it’s often best to enjoy the bounty that most of us find around us rather than continuing to seek “more” and “better.”
