Return to the Soda Shack
Return to the Soda Shack
Part of Crystal Cove State Park, which is located between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach, the Crystal Cove Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its 46 cottages, built in the 1920s and 1930s, are lovely examples of Southern California coastal development during that era.
“Return to the Soda Shack” was created entirely on site at the 2022 Laguna Art-A-Fair. Built around 1935, this charming and bright cottage once served as Crystal Cove’s snack shack/soda fountain. Today, visitors can rent the shack for overnight stays. It doesn’t have an ocean view, but it’s such a sweet little spot. I’d love to stay there sometime!
This original painting measures 7x5” and comes in a white mat that brings the overall size of the piece to approximately 10x8”. It was created using watercolor paint on acid free, hot press 100% cotton 140 lb. Arches watercolor paper. It ships FREE.
