In the spring, the palo verde trees across the desert provide a pop of yellow that fades to green in what reminds me of an ombre dip dye. I snapped the photo that inspired this scene at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix in spring 2019, as they were in full bloom among the other fantastic plant life of this urban wonderland. P.S. - Did you spot the nesting dove?
