West Mitten Watcher
West Mitten Watcher
This painting was created from a photo I took of the West Mitten Butte in Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. As I hiked around the West Mitten, I got to experience how different its appearance was from each side. It appeared to be tall and narrow from this particular perspective, and, like many of the formations in Monument Valley, it reminded me of a human face.
The last image is the original photo from which I created the painting.
Item measures 5”x7” and is painted using watercolor paint on 300 lb. Canson Moulin du Roy cold pressed acid free 100% cotton art paper. It comes in a white mat that brings the overall size of the piece to a standard 8x10” - just find a frame you love and it’s ready to pop right in!
